Flametal - The Elder (2005)

Como me gustan los retos voy a comentar un discazo que va a ser dificil de describir.

Hace ya 9 años de que a los Night To Die se les ocurriera mezclar el flamenco y el metal con un curioso resultado que no gustaba a todos, yo de vez en cuando me los pongo, pero pasaron si pena ni gloria por la escena del metal, una pena porque podían haber hecho más cosas.

Pero ahora han llegado unos chicos de California para demostrar que si puede nacer un nuevo género con esto.
No llegan a un nivel extremo, se quedan más en una especie de speed metal o como cojones querais llamarlo.

Los componentes no son nuevos en esto, tenemos a:
Uriah Duffy, os debe de sonar porque es bajista de Whitesnake.
Angeline Saris, que es bajista (dos bajistas si) viene de una escuela de Jazz y tambien ha estudiado baile asi que supongo que hará algún que otro taconeado xD
Brian "Lazer" Spalding, este guitarrista (se ocupa de la eléctrica) hawaiano es discípulo de Uli John Roth, así que malo malo no puede ser.
Thomas "The Hammer" Perry, es un profesor de batería del cual no he visto nada más que reseñar, bueno sí, que le gusta tocar el bajo xDDD
Y para terminar al cantante y guitarrista (se encarga de la clásica) Benjamin Woods. Es el alma mater del grupo, se encarga de todo el perfomance del grupo, porque llevan bailarines de flamenco y toda la pesca. Montan un show de los buenos, seguro que no te aburres viendolos. El tio lleva años como guitarrista y cantante de flamenco tocando por California y demás estados.

Bueno ahora toca comentar el disco. Una de las cosas más reseñables y que me encanta es la falta de voces flamencas lloriqueando y dando por culo AIIIIIII EEEEEEEEEEEEE OUUUUUUUUUUU. Nada, solo canta Ben que no hace falta más.

La mayoría de las canciones son instrumentales aunque alguna como Silencio, escobilla son solo flamenco, pero al menos a mi me encanta porque si escuchais a Paco de Lucia sin ningun gili cantando es una delicia.

El disco comienza con The elder que nos hace apreciar lo que vamos a escuchar en el disco, una preciosa fusiób de clásica con eléctrica, algunas palmas que se complementan con la batería y una voz que sin ser espectacular acompaña de puta madre a la melodía.

Después llega la ya comentada Silencio, escobilla y ahora nos encontramos con Red Cobblestone, para mi la mejor del disco pero por una sencilla razón es como escuchar a los antiguos y oscuros Black Sabbath tocando la famosa Black Sabbath. Pero todo esto remozado con un sonido más actual y cierto es que de flamenco no tiene nada pero es que me encanta.

Bruja tortura, más flamenquito con su guitarreo electrico, es instrumental pero esta canción es la más "progresiva" del disco, algún cambio de ritmo y simplemente otra genialidad.

P'alla al infierno vas, Estos californianos estan fatal xDD muy buena canción, más cojonuda que the elder y de lo mejor del disco. A mi me hace gracia escuchar al pavo diciendo pal infierno vas!!!

The summoning, otra instrumental bien currada con una mezcla sencilla y maestra.

Cuatro caballeros. Más instrumental, el Ben en este disco cantar poco pero tocar la clásica se sale de la pelleja.

Y para terminar Journey Into Fear, una instrumental de 14 minutos pero con sus típicos 4 minutos y medio de silencio enmedio pa dar por culo más que otra cosa.

A este disco le pongo un 9. Y solo se lleva un 9 por lo corto que es, 40 minutos al menos a mi se me hacen cortisimos, cuando se acaba te quedas pensando ¿ya?

Y aqui está la descarga directa porque dudo que nadie haya pillado este disco, aunque quien sabe, podeis sorprenderme xD

Todos nos conocemos a Apocalyptica de memoria pero no sabemos casi nada de este grupo eh.

Y menos que sabremos, pensaba que era un grupo pero resultan que son muchos grupos que cada cual ha hecho un disco tributo a algún grupo. Muchas gracias a Jorge por su impecable uso de la wikipedia xD

Instrumentos de cuerda para unos versionadores al 100%, es decir, las canciones las hacen exactamente iguales que las originales, no como las reducidas y modificadas de Apocalyptica.
Esto no es mejor ni peor, sino diferente y la verdad es que me gustan muchisimo.
Han hecho discos tributos a U2, Rush, Black Sabbath, Slayer, Pink Floyd, Tool, Metallica, Dreamtheater y The Mars Volta.

Hoy voy a hablar de una banda sonora que todo el mundo debería escuchar alguna vez.

Es épica y brutal y encima para un juego, he de admitir que muchas bandas sonoras de juegos no es que sean igual de buenas que las de las pelis, sino que son incluso mejores.

Hace ya muuuuchos años mi primo le dejó un cd a mi padre para que probara si le gustaba un grupo, yo iba andando por el salón y vi un cd que ponía Therion - Theli, no me sonaba de la música de mi padre y miré por detrás: producido por Massacre Records. Esto me extraño aún más y le pregunté a mi madre que era la que estaba que de donde había salido el cd, me lo explicó y me dije si viene de Pedro no puede ser malo.

Nada más ponerlo me suena esto:

Ahora no sorprende tanto pero recordad que yo esto lo escuché en el 96 y me llevaba todo el día escuchando heavy, thrash y death.. Me quede flipando y desde entonces no me pierdo un disco suyo aunque a veces tengan altibajos.
Y después del momento abuelo cebolleta (hace 11 años de esto) os pongo canciones guapas jeje.

Adoro esta canción. Birth of Venus Illegitima.



The Rise of Sodom and Gommorah, increible...


Una de las caracteristicas de Therion es que cambian cada dos por tres de cantantes, tenores baritonos y lo que sean xD

Ahora tienen un cantante que es increible en directo, con un registro que acojona, ya lo he visto dos veces y dos veces que he alucinado, además para la última gira han pillado a dos tías que cantan brutal y un nuevo pavo fliapdisimo de manowar que es la reostia, 4 voces que te dejan idiota perdido.

Primero veamos al tio que os digo, Mats Leven, yo lo llamo el Carlos Latre del metal porque imita cantando a quien le da la gana, King Diamod, Lemmy, lo que sea.

Hypocrisy

Bien es la hora de la tralla, y que mejor caña que la que mete Hypocrisy, en directo son la caña y ya llevan mas de 15 años demostrando que estan en la élite :)

Grupo dedicado a mi fileton para que amplie sus grupos, que se que le van a encantar.
Gente tan dispar que pertenecian a grupos como In The Woods..., Emperor, Trail of Tears, Blood Red Throne, Carpathian Forest o Chain Collector han creado un GRUPAZO.

Os dejo algunas canciones increibles para que vayais paladeando este suave grupo, para mi esto ya no llega al nivel de metal por asi decirlo, he llegado a leer que lo denimonan art rock xDD
